ABOUT JBBR
Our Story
The Jingle Bell Beach Run began in December of 2005 to kick off Christmas week with a bang! This idea blossomed from the creative mind of Rani Henderson, who wanted to create a run with a Christmas twist. With only a week to turn her idea into reality, the event became an instant hit with the inaugural Jingle Bell Beach Run, held on December 18, 2005.

While only 48 participants lined up for the event 20 years ago, it has since grown into the largest 5K event on the island. Henderson strived to keep this run simple, fun, and something families can enjoy doing together. With the support of her husband, Penn, it has grown over the last two decades into a first-class event – one that participants remember, enjoy, and return year after year for more! In addition, the event features a non-competitive Santa's Keiki Dash for kids 6 & Under. Awards are given to the top overall finishers in the 5K, and the top three best-dressed Christmas costumes. Raffle prizes follow the awards, so it’s tough for one to go home empty-handed!
